CAEL的口语只占5%. 并不是很重要, 并且十分简单. 但对于从小就没有口语测试与训练的我们, 看上去有点恐怖. 呵呵. 一切考试都是纸老虎, 打倒纸老虎!
CAEL的口语简单, 但考试时又觉得十分紧张. 原因是不知道到底应该说什么, 说多长时间. 其实我考过2次口语. 两次的题基本相同. 官方网上的题基本上就是考试题. 在此做以分析:
CAEL OLT RESEARCH
Task 1. (1 minute to speak)
a) Explain what do you want to study at university and why.
b) Your experience learning English and studying English for academic purposes.
这两个问题在其中选一个. 万年不变的问题. 可以提前准备一下.
Task 2. Retell part of a lecture.
a) Listen to a lecture.
b) Take notes.
c) Retell. (30 seconds to retell)
听讲座时记好笔记, 大概就是下次在哪里上课, 什么时间, 要交的作业, 作业的格式.
Task 3. Academic Document Understanding.
a) Read document. ( 15seconds to read)
b) Give answer. ( 10 seconds to answer every question)
Question:
1) What course is this?
2) Who is the professor?
3) Who and where will you meet for this class?
4) What book is required?
容易混淆的是Office Hours和上课的时间. Office Hours是老师工作的时间, 你可以去他的办公室.
Task 4. Read aloud.
a) Read ( 30 seconds)
b) Speak out ( 1 minute )
单词不会的, 不要停. 就当汉语拼音读就行了. 不必太快, 要字正腔圆. 时间充裕.
Task 5. Discuss
a) Prepare, choose one of two topics. ( 1 minute )
b) Plan answer. ( 1 minute )
c) Talk. ( 1 minute )
d) Ask a question: How long is the presentation supposed to be?
误导人的是那4个Topic. 前面两个人说了那两个就被排除了. 你说剩下的2个中一个.
最后一个问题让人蒙头转向. 别忘了, 你们讨论的目的是找出一个演讲的题目. 你关于这个Group work的演讲有什么问题要问没有.
比如: What is the date of the presentation?
How long is the presentation supposed to be?
Is there a paper for this presentation?
How do you evaluate this presentation?
