Come out and Celebrate Earth Day – a trash free event - in Saint John’s beautiful natural settings.

Bring your travel mug for coffee and try our complimentary Dirt Cake.

Use only recyclable and compostable items all day.

FREE Saint John Transit shuttle bus to visit each site and WIN great prizes.

Participants meet at the metal gate on the west end of Saints Rest Beach. Duration: 45min.

New Brunswick Museum 10 am to 4:00 pm
Interactive Natural Heritage & Ecological Footprint programs
Fun crafts - Make wild flower crafts and learn about our fragile eco system
The New Brunswick Museum will offer a variety of Earth Day activities throughout the day. Museum admission will be a 'special rate' of $2 per person if the visitor signs up for the 'GREEN NETWORK' team!

The GREEN NETWORK is community collaboration, with plans to organize a clean-up activity in your neighbourhood or at a local beach! You will be contacted in the summer or early fall to be invited to help out on a local clean-up team. Help save the environment. Do YOUR part!

Other Earth Day Activities:


The Village Neighbourhood Cleanup Day 10:45 am to 3:00pm
Meet at the CYO at Cliff and Waterloo. Please bring your own cup for juice.
Registration begins at 10:45 am. Sign in to clean one of five streets, and pick up gloves and garbage bags.
FREE BBQ for all volunteers begins at 1:00pm.

ACAP Saint John Creek Sweep and Tree Planting 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Volunteers will be first asked to help clean litter and debris from the banks of Majors Brook and
the Cold Brook flood expansion area (off of Golden Grove Rd.), followed by the planting of over
500 spruce trees. The event is intended to improve the fish and wildlife habitat in these areas
by increasing the amount of protective cover, shading of the water, and stability of the soils.
Improving the appearance of these areas will also increase public appreciation for their value.
